William Douglas Underwood, 84, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas passed away Sunday morning on October 22, 2017 at his home.
Bill was born in Baron, Oklahoma on June 12, 1933, a son of Douglas Underwood and Mable Cagel Underwood. He was a man of all trades, but his usual occupation was construction work in Clovis, California of 30 years. He was married to Helen Underwood for 32 years. He attended Clovis High School in California. He enjoyed watching the black and white western TV shows, going around and joking to fellow friends that “he was just a poor boy from Peavine”, running his Hwy 59 rafting and canoeing business of Siloam Springs during the summer season, and spending time with his cat and dogs. Bill served honorably for the National Guard.
He is survived by his daughter, Holly Underwood of the home; 1 brother, Darrell “Gabby” Underwood of Watts, OK; 2 Sisters, Loretta McDaniel of Madera, CA and Phyllis Iverson of Clovis, CA; Grandson Davey Espionza of Siloam Springs, AR; 6 Grandchildren of California, Gary, Sheila, Dustin, Deanna, Drew, and Ashley; 8 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Dogs, Iola, Woofy, and Dumplin; 1 Cat, Don-Don; and many other loved ones and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Douglas Underwood, his mother Mable Cagel Underwood; 2 Brothers, Bill Underwood and Richard Underwood; 1 Sister, Daisey Underwood; 2 Sons, Daniel Underwood and Gary Underwood.
