Virginia May Taylor

Virginia May Taylor, 74, of Gentry, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at The Maples Nursing Home in Springdale, Arkansas.

Virginia was born on July12, 1943 in Noel, Missouri, a daughter of Harvey McQuillan and Anna McGrew McQuillan. She worked 28 years for the Peterson’s Company and was a member of the Take Off Pounds Sensibly Club. She was a lover of flowers, especially Irises and purple African Violets, Hallmark movies, collecting bells, fulfilling her sweet tooth with Butter Pecan Ice Cream, being on-the-go, and most importantly, her family. She loved her family very much.

She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Taylor and wife Cindy of Owasso, Ok, Clifford Taylor of Gentry, AR; three daughters, Cathy Jones of Gentry, AR, Elizabeth Skaggs and husband Kenny of Springtown, AR, Regena Cotrill and husband Danny of Disney, OK; one brother, Robert McQuillan and wife Bonnie of Anderson, MO; one sister, Carol Ames and husband Sammie of Noel, MO; twelve grandchildren, Charla Whitaker, Tara Wheeker, Shawna Wood, Elizabeth Cotrill, James Cotrill, Jacob Cotrill, Samuel Skaggs, Wesley Skaggs, Emily Skaggs, Jeannie Taylor, Savannah Taylor, and Tamika Taylor; and five great-grandchildren, Owen Whitaker, Eli Whitaker, Noah Wheeker, Natalie Wood, and Madison Wood.

Virginia is preceded in death by her father, Harvey James McQuillan; her mother, Anna Lee McGrew McQuillan; one brother, Edward McQuillan; and two sisters, Laura Jones and Bertha Berry.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel in Siloam Springs, AR from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel at 2:00pm on Monday, July17, 2017.
