Tou Pao Lee

Tou Pao Lee, elder name Blia Cha Lee, was born in Xoomkhes, Laos, on June 08, 1961. He was the son of Der Xiong and Xaixao Lee. He was a high achieving student with a full ride to college when the Secret War broke out. He migrated to the U.S. in 1981, and lived most his life in Minneapolis, MN. He continued his education, receiving an Associate Degree from Dunwoody College, shifting to focus on supporting his children. He dedicated his life to standing for things he was passionate about. One could often find him filming and photographing others with a camera, gathering collectibles, working on a creative project, sharing wisdom, or on an adventure. He was an avid lifelong learner, collecting books, movies, newspapers and magazines to keep up to date about current events as well as learn about the history of America and the world. In his final weeks, amidst his losing battle to cancer, he moved to Arkansas to be with his brothers and to be buried near his mother. Tou passed away peacefully among loved ones on March 8th, 2024. He is survived by his children Neng Wameng, Anna, Joua, Nhia, Gau Nhue, Kou, Kong, their spouses and children. 

The funeral ceremony will take place at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, beginning on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 8am-midnight. The ceremony will continue Sunday, March 24, 2024 from 8am-overnight. The funeral procession is scheduled to leave the funeral home at 9am on Monday, March 25, 2024. Burial will be held at Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland, Arkansas.
