Thomas D Surface

Thomas Dewitt Surface, 68, of Maysville, AR passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.

Thomas was born on the Offutt Air Force Base near Omaha, Nebraska, a son of Ralph Haven Surface and Mabel Violet Sullivan Surface. Thomas held various occupations including law enforcement, oil rig roughneck and dump truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing basketball and watching sports. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War Era.

Survivors include his two daughters, Stacy Robertson of Gravette, AR and Stefanie Furrow of Decatur, AR; five grandchildren, Shelby, Carley, and Klaire Robertson, and Zeke and Talon Furrow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David and Earnest Surface and one sister, Earlene King.

Funeral service with military honors will be held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 2:00pm.  Pastor Bruce Potter will officiate the service under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
