Thiago J Gomez

Thiago Joel Gomez, 4 years old, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Thiago was born December 21, 2017 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to parents, Maritza Bahena and Jonathan Gomez.

A loving, smart, playful, special boy. He loved watching Blue’s Clues, Mickey Mouse Cartoons, and the Toy Story movies. Thiago loved the beach and was able to explore the zoo, he looked so happy watching all the animals. He enjoyed being outside & when he couldn’t be outside, because it was too cold, he loved looking out the back door window, especially when it snowed or rained- he was fascinated. He was always excited to watch his brother play soccer- always smiling & babbling to cheer him on. He loved to have his cousins around him-Sebastian, Rodrigo, Jennifer, Santiago, Ezekiel, Dianeli, Bellami. We know he would’ve loved his cousin, Lucia, just as much. Though his time with his family was short, he touched many lives and was loved deeply by those around him.

He is survived by his parents, Maritza Bahena and Jonathan Gomez of the home; brother, Iker Jonael Gomez of the home; maternal grandparents, Ignacio and Maricela Bahena; paternal grandparents, Marina Gonzalez and Yoni Aguilar; maternal great grandfather, Basilio Valladares; paternal great grandmother, Maria Gonzalez; 3 aunts, Mariela Zamacona, Marisol Bahena, and Maricruz Bahena; 3 uncles, Saul Bahena, , Alexis Aguilar-Gonzalez and Juan Gomez; all of Springdale, Arkansas; and many other loved ones.

The Visitation for Thiago will be held Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 5pm-8pm at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale, Arkansas. 

The Funeral Mass will be held 10am, Friday, November 18, 2022 at St Raphael’s Catholic Church of Springdale, Arkansas.

Thiago nació el 21 de diciembre de 2017 en Fayetteville, Arkansas de padres, Maritza Bahena y Jonathan Gomez.

Un chico cariñoso, inteligente, juguetón, especial. Le encantaba ver las pistas de Blue, los dibujos animados de Mickey Mouse y las películas de Toy Story. A Thiago le encantaba la playa y pudo explorar el zoológico, se veía tan feliz viendo a todos los animales. Le gustaba estar afuera y cuando no podía estar afuera porque hacía demasiado frío, le encantaba mirar por la ventana de la puerta trasera, especialmente cuando nevaba o llovía, estaba fascinado. Siempre estaba emocionado de ver a su hermano jugar al fútbol, ​​siempre sonriendo y balbuceando para animarlo. Le encantaba tener a sus primos a su alrededor: Sebastián, Rodrigo, Jennifer, Santiago, Ezequiel, Dianeli, Bellami. Sabemos que él habría amado a su prima, Lucía, tanto como él. Aunque el tiempo que pasó con su familia fue corto, tocó muchas vidas y fue amado profundamente por quienes lo rodeaban.

Le sobreviven sus padres, Maritza Bahena y Jonathan Gomez del hogar; hermano, Iker Jonael Gomez del hogar; abuelos maternos, Ignacio y Maricela Bahena; abuelos paternos, Marina González y Yoni Aguilar; bisabuelo materno, Basilio Valladares; bisabuela paterna, María González; 3 tías, Mariela Zamacona, Marisol Bahena y Maricruz Bahena; 3 tíos, Saul Bahena, , Alexis Aguilar-Gonzalez y Juan Gomez; todo Springdale, Arkansas; y muchos otros seres queridos.

El velorio para Thiago se llevará a cabo el jueves 17 de noviembre de 2022 de 5:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. en Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home de Springdale, Arkansas.
La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo el viernes 18 de noviembre de 2022 a las 10 a. m. en la iglesia católica St Raphael’s de Springdale, Arkansas.
