Shirley May Black

Shirley Mae Black, 81, of Watts, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab.

Shirley was born on September 25, 1938 in Everett, Washington, a daughter of Howard Cecil French and Mae Ester Lyon French. She was the widow of the late Jerry John Black, who preceded her in death in 2008. Shirley worked for the Madera County Sheriff’s Department in Madera, California. She was a great homemaker and mother, always keeping a clean home. She enjoyed playing on the computer and was always kind and caring to those she met.

She is survived by one son John Scott Peterson of California; one daughter, Kimberly Adele Peterson of California; two stepsons, Keith Jon Black of Watts, Oklahoma and Kelly Jerome Black of California; two step grandchildren.

A private burial was held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery
