Rulon Dix Foster, Sr., 92, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab.
Rulon was born on March 26, 1932, to parents Franklin Rulon Foster and Hazel (Hamm) Foster in Ozark, Arkansas. He was married to Susan (Carlson) Foster for 60 years.
Rulon proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and in the United States Army. He worked for many years at La-Z-Boy as a boiler operator and in the security department. Rulon was an active member of the Siloam Springs Bible Church. He loved to read and go on road trips but his favorite activity was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rulon is survived by 4 sons: Rulon Foster, Jr. and wife Jessica of Siloam Springs; William Foster and wife Barbara of Chattanooga, TN; Karl Foster and wife Gloria of Watts, OK; and Keith Foster and wife Susan of Bella Vista, AR; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a host of friends that will miss him greatly.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Per Rulon’s wishes, cremation was chosen. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 11:30am at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR with Military Honors.
Arrangements were entrusted to Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
