Ruby Joan Willis, 80, of Siloam Springs passed away June 28, 2017 at the Earlene Howard Hospice House in Springdale.
Ruby was born on July 13, 1936 in Royal Oak, Indiana, a daughter of Brownie Bennett and Pauline Headley Bennett. She was the widow of the late Samuel Willis who preceded her in death in 2013. Ruby was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of children, often babysitting for friends. She enjoyed crafting, putting puzzles together, and reading. She was a Baptist and had been a longtime Sunday School Teacher at Harvard Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Samuel Clay Willis of West Siloam Springs, OK and Mike Willis of Westville, OK; three daughters, Janice Johnson of Jane, MO, Denise Bohot of Fayetteville, AR and Deanna Willis of Siloam Springs; one brother Tom Bennett of Michigan and one sister, Sandra Beard of Michigan; three grandchildren, Kody Williams, Samantha Charles and Krystal Willis. Along with other friends and relatives.
Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel on July 1 2017 at 2:00pm. Burial being held at the Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. To sign the online guest book, visit www.Backstrom-Pyeatte.com.
