Robert H Russell

Robert Harvey “Bob” Russell, age 92, of Springdale, AR, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

Bob was born January 27, 1932 in Fayetteville, AR the son of the late Maurice Russell and Opal Jones.

After growing up in Hailey, Idaho; Bob returned to Northwest Arkansas enlisting in the United States Army reserves, attending the University of Arkansas and working for his uncle Harvey Jones, at Jones Truck Lines, founder of the company.

On December 11, 1961 he married Gweneece Hannah who also worked at JTL. They were married 62 years until her death in March 2024.

Bob was an avid collector, he enjoyed traveling, being at home, watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and their cat Punk.

Bob is survived by 2 nephews, Mike Hannah and wife Geneva “Sam” of Rogers, and Tony Hannah of Springdale; a great nephew Matt of Rogers; a great niece Sally of Riverview, Florida; and a great great nephew, Avery.
