Rene Rodriguez - Murillo

Rene “Smiley” Rodriguez – Murillo, 33, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas passed away at his home on Saturday, February 18, 2023.

Rene was born on March 2, 1989 in Los Angeles, California. He was the son of Ricardo Murillo Sr. and Blanca Rodriguez Murillo.  He married Guadalupe Magana on December 24, 2018 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Rene was an auto and diesel mechanic, who loved building and fixing cars, was a car enthusiast, enjoyed working on trucks, playing basketball with friends and family at the park, was an avid “Lakers” fan and enjoyed traveling. He also loved his dog Bruno and his cat Homie.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Tania Murillo.

He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Murillo of the home; his parents, Ricardo and Blanca Murillo Sr. of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; three brothers, Ricardo Murillo of Summers, Arkansas, Reynaldo Murillo and Kevin Murillo both of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; two sisters, Beatrice Calderon of Carrolton, Texas, and Bertha Aleman of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; along with many other family members and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, AR.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023, 2:00 pm, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Siloam Springs. Burial will be conducted at the Gentry Cemetery. René “Smiley” Rodríguez – Murillo, de 33 años, de Siloam Springs, Arkansas, falleció en su casa el sábado 18 de febrero de 2023.

René nació el 2 de marzo de 1989 en Los Ángeles, California. Era hijo de Ricardo Murillo Sr. y Blanca Rodríguez Murillo. Se casó con Guadalupe Magana el 24 de diciembre del 2018 en Bentonville, Arkansas. René era mecánico de automóviles y diesel, amaba construir y reparar automóviles, era un entusiasta de los automóviles, disfrutaba trabajar en camiones, jugar baloncesto con amigos y familiares en el parque, era un ávido fanático de los “Lakers” y disfrutaba viajar. También amaba a su perro Bruno y a su gato Homie.

Le precedieron en la muerte una hermana, Tania Murillo.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Guadalupe Murillo del hogar; sus padres, Ricardo y Blanca Murillo Sr. de Siloam Springs, Arkansas; tres hermanos, Ricardo Murillo de Summers, Arkansas, Reynaldo Murillo y Kevin Murillo ambos de Siloam Springs, Arkansas; dos hermanas, Beatrice Calderon de Carrolton, Texas y Bertha Aleman de Siloam Springs, Arkansas; junto con muchos otros miembros de la familia y amigos.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el miércoles 22 de febrero de 2023, de 5:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. en Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home en Siloam Springs, AR.

El funeral se llevará a cabo el jueves 23 de febrero de 2023 a las 2:00 p. m. en la capilla funeraria Backstrom-Pyeatte en Siloam Springs. El entierro se llevará a cabo en el Cementerio Gentry.
