Peggy Sue Downum-Bewley

Peggy Sue Downum-Bewley (née Harrison), age 79, died Monday, October 19, 2020, in Springdale Arkansas.

She was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, on March 2, 1941. She was the only child of Smiley and Katherine F. (Stevenson) Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jamie Sue Downum.

Peggy enjoyed shopping and knew name brand clothing and makeup so well that she leveraged that into a position in retail sales for a period of time in Tulsa and Springdale. Those who knew her will remember her good looks and sharp tongue.

She is survived by a son, Bradley and his wife Svetlana, of Texas; a daughter, Terri Phelan of Springdale AR; a grandson, Tyler of Texas; a granddaughter, Jamie Parrott and her husband Cortney of Fayetteville AR; and three great-grandchildren of Fayetteville: A.J., Jimmy, and Ella Parrott.

Peggy will be cremated and her ashes will be interred at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. There will not be a public memorial service.
