Kathy Birkes

Nellie Kathryn Birkes, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Kathy was born on October 5, 1941 in Cincinnati, Arkansas to Euel and Nellie Eads. She served her community in various clerical jobs. Throughout her life she enjoyed crafting and dancing. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by two sons: Steven Glory of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, and Brad Birkes and his wife, Tina, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, daughter: Tahmra Shelley and her husband, Stanley of Stilwell, Oklahoma, sister: Corine Guthrie of Westville, Oklahoma, five grandchildren: Derk McReynolds, Tyrell Shelley, Tristan Shelley, Sarah Acuff, and Vincent Bartlett, thirteen great-grandchildren: Conner McReynolds, Gracee McReynolds, Orren Shelley, Ava Dewey, Noah Shelley, Lindsey Shelley, Caitlain Shelley, Braidyn Acuff, Benleigh Acuff, Joshua Bartlett, Harper Bartlett, Ellie Anna Bartlett, and Marcus Wade Lance, and many other loved ones.

She is preceded in death by parents, brother: Donald Neal Eads, two sisters, Eueline Taylor and Nancy Girdner, and great-grandson: Bryant McReynolds.
