Nadine I. McConnell

Nadine I. McConnell, age 81, of Springdale passed away on Saturday, August 6^th, 2022 at her residence in Springdale. Nadine was born on March 9, 1941 in Dexter, MO, the daughter of the late Herbert Shipman and Joyce (McClard) Shipman.

Nadine graduated from Notre Dame College in St. Louis, MO with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She taught school for several years and later was the owner of PCI Advance Title in NW Arkansas.

On March 12^th, 1982 in Miami, OK she married F. Russell McConnell, Jr. and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Aside from teaching school, working in a title company, Nadine truly loved dancing at the Springdale Senior Citizens Center. Nadine’s other loves were spending time with family, reading, and her dogs.

Nadine is survived by her loving children; Debra Cooper Murphy and husband Larry of Rogers, AR., and Michael Cooper and wife Diane of Festus, MO.; 5 wonderful grandchildren, Caitlin Murphy Johnson and husband Grant of Edmond, OK., Samuel Murphy of Rogers, AR., Jessica Cooper of Denver, CO., Caroline Murphy of St Louis, MO., and Audrey Cooper Brown and husband Bob of Solon, IA.; and one treasured great grandchild, Blakely Brown.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 4 brothers and sisters.

Per Nadine’s wishes, cremation rites were chosen. A private memorial service will be held at a later date with burial in the Fairview Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR.
