Michael Ray Howser SR

Michael Ray Howser, age 60, of Bentonville, AR, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023, surrounded by his family. Michael was born on September 4, 1962, in Del City, Oklahoma, the son of the late Abraham Howser and Patricia (Perkins) Howser.

On January 24, 1993, Michael married the love of his life, Judy Hartsel and she survives. Michael worked for many years as a technician at Superior Wheel, he had also worked for Tyson poultry processing.

Michael was a member of the NRA, the Patriot Guard and Proudly served with the 142nd Field Artillery Unit of the Arkansas National Guard for 22 years where he served in the role of “Santa” for many years.

Michael is survived by his wife Judy; son, Michael R Howser Jr; a daughter, Jessica Yockey and husband Matt; sisters, Pam Parson, Tammy Howser, and Christina Booker; and 11 grandchildren.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Beatrice Rosencuter. 

Friends may visit with the family at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Galen Pearcy officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Fayetteville.

The family has requested donations to the Circle of Life Hospice, 1201 NE Legacy Parkway, Bentonville, AR 72712 in lieu of flowers.
