Mary "Virginia" Patterson

Mary Virginia Patterson, 93, formerly of Siloam Springs, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Concordia Nursing Home in Bella Vista, Ar.

Mary was born on December 4, 1923 in Springdale, Arkansas, a daughter of Samuel Loyd Horn and Nettie Mae Kilburn Horn. She was the widow of the late Clarence Paul Patterson whom she married on December 2, 1963 in Miami, Oklahoma. She worked for HEHR  International making windows and screens. She enjoyed growing flowers in her garden, fishing and doing broomstick crocheting.

She is survived by one daughter, Marie Davis of Gentry, AR; three sons, Floyd E Thompson of Woodston, KS, Donald F Thompson of Wichita, KS, and Clyde D Thompson of Florida; one stepson Lonnie Patterson of Newton, KS; one sister Lena Collins of Springdale, AR; nineteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Henry and Dennis Thompson, one daughter, Helen Buchanan; one step daughter, Naomi Place; two sisters, Loraine Horn and Alice Freeman; one brother, Loyd Horn and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs on Thrsday, October 12, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:00am. Pastor Kevin Boldra will officiate the service.

Graveside services will be held at the Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta, Kansas on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00pm under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. To sign the online guest book, visit backstrompyeatte.com.
