Mario Gonzalez, 70, of Siloam Springs, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Earlene Howard Hospice House in Springdale.
Mario was born on January 25, 1951 in Vera Cruz, Mexico. He was the son of Estaban Gonzalez and Amelia Gonzalez. After coming to the United States, he met Teresa Landeverde in Los Angeles and they were married on August 11, 1991. Mario worked for Tyson’s Foods for many years. He was a Deacon for the West Siloam Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church where he attended as often as he was able. He enjoyed walks, hiking, exercising and going on adventures. He was a great storyteller with a great sense of humor often enjoying telling jokes and was a real people person. He was a follower of Christ.
Mario is survived by his wife Teresa Gonzalez of the home; one son Abraham Gonzalez and wife Mirna of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Ester Gonzalez of Siloam Springs and Reyna Calderon of Conroe, Texas; four brothers and three sisters all in Mexico; seven grandchildren, Antony Lopez, Janelle Gonzalez, Oscar Aguilar, Stephanie Maravilla, Reyna Maravilla, Angela Maravilla and Bethany Maravilla.
Visitation will be held at the West Siloam Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at the West Siloam Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church at 2:00pm. Pastor Juan Williams will officiate the service, with burial being held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs. Mario nació el 25 de enero de 1951 en Vera Cruz, México. Era hijo de Estaban Gonzalez y Amelia González. El velorio se llevará a cabo en la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día de West Siloam Springs el jueves 20 de mayo de 202 de 12:00 pm a 2:00 pm.
Los servicios funerarios seguirán la visita en la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día de West Siloam Springs a las 2:00 pm.
