Mabel Boone

Mabel Boone, 97, of Springdale entered into God’s kingdom peacefully on February 25^th 2023.  She was born on March 15^th, 1925 to Walter Holder and Ida Seaman Holder in King, AR.

Mabel was the most loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family.  She is survived by sons Randy Boone (Kyle) of Albuquerque, NM, Dan Boone (Karen) of Lowell, AR, daughter-in-law Kathy Boone of Prairie Grove, AR,  granddaughters Keelie Tullis (Chuck), Kimberly Harris (Bobby) and great grandchildren Macie & Madden Tullis and Turner & Fisher Shaw.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Albert “Abe” Boone and her son Larry Boone of Prairie Grove.

Abe and Mabel raised their 3 sons in their hometown of Dierks, AR where she lived until 2006 when she moved to Springdale to be closer with her remaining family.  She loved being a homemaker, working in the garden, baking, and she was one of those cooks who didn’t need to measure anything but somehow the food always turned out tasting wonderful.  Very few things made her happier than preparing a delicious meal for her family. 

Mabel was always very active in her church and loved her church family.  She would never pass up the opportunity to tell one of her closest friends or a complete stranger about her friend Jesus.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 pm with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 pm

on Tuesday February 28  at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home, 2230 N Thompson St. Springdale AR.  Her burial and a short graveside memorial will be at the Dierks Cemetery on March 1st at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations to the Circle of Life Hospice of NW Arkansas.
