Linda Jean Brotherton, 77, of Springdale, Arkansas, departed this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on August 1, 2024. She passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Born on September 13, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Linda was the daughter of Gene and Betty Morris of Hasty, Arkansas. They later moved to Wichita, KS where Linda graduated from High School and shortly after married J.D. Brotherton. Linda was a member of God’s Lighthouse Church in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Linda had a passion for painting and crafting but will be remembered most for her dedication to her family and close friends. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, Donnie. Linda is survived by her son, Michael Brotherton, daughter Brandi Hollis, granddaughters Amanda Ragsdale, Leah Fitzgerald and Cheyenne Fenton, grandsons Sam Wills, Gene Brotherton and Callum Brotherton, and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3-4 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at the Backstorm-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale. Funeral services will follow at 4 pm with Pastor Kelly Nesbitt officiating. Family will receive visitors at 6:30 pm at the granddaughter’s home in Lowell.
Linda will be laid to rest at Sand Hill Cemetery in Yardelle, AR on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11 am. There will be no graveside service but all are welcome to join the family for her internment.
In lieu of flowers, donations may also be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Linda’s name.
