Kenneth R. Martin

Kenneth R. Martin, 79, a 55 year resident of Kansas, OK, passed away on Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 at the Quail Ridge Living Center.

Kenneth was born on July 12, 1938 in Westville, OK, a son of George Robert Martin and Mable Carpenter Martin. He was a chicken farmer, cattleman, had worked for Delaware County and drove trucks for several local industries. He loved fishing, hunting, farming and large family get togethers. He was a member of the Victory Worship Center in West Siloam Springs, where he was very active in their food ministries.

Survivors include two sons, Dannie Martin and Christi Keifer of Colcord, and Jimmy and wife Debra Martin of Gentry; one daughter, Mary and husband Tony Moore of Jay, OK; two brothers, Robert Martin of Kansas, OK and Lonnie Martin of Stillwell, OK: three sisters, Alma Jean Myrick of Siloam Springs, Lizbeth Trollinger and Yvonne Willhem both of Westville, OK;6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon and Leroy Martin, one sister, Alta Mae Wytalier and one grandchild.

Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral home in Siloam Springs on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm

Funeral service will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, Jan 31, 2018 at 2:00pm. Brother Jack Hayes will officiate the service and burial will be conducted at the Kansas Cemetery in Kansas, OK.
