Julianne “Julie” Amos, age 78, of Bella Vista, AR, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
Julie was born February 16, 1947 in Sabetha, Kansas, the daughter of the late George Baskett and Mary (Hause) Baskett.
She graduated from Emporia State University in 1971 with a Master’s in Education and worked for many years as an instructor at Emporia State University and later on at NorthWest Arkansas Community College. On June 6, 1970, she married Steve G Crofoot in Emporia Kansas. In January of 1973, they welcomed their son, Nicholas. They had an unforgettable journey filled with cherished moments together before his passing on March 26, 1995. On April 29, 2000 she married Donald D Amos in Bentonville Arkansas. For the next 20 years, they lived life to the fullest through their friends, family and love of travel until Don’s passing on July 1, 2020.
Julie was a member of the PEO Sisterhood and served on the Auxiliary Board for the Northwest Medical Center. She always had the desire to give back by volunteering at a number of charities, organizations, and the local hospital. She was selfless in her devotion to her friends and family. Even though she had been to numerous destinations around the world, her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Julie is survived by her son Nicholas Crofoot and wife Angela Hong, of Prairie Village Kansas; a brother Richard Baskett; two grandchildren, Isabel and Stephen; and step-daughter Lindsay Amos.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Steve G Crofoot; husband Donald D Amos; and a brother Charles Baskett.
Per Julie’s wishes, Cremation was chosen.
A Memorial Service will be held from 1:30 to 3:00pm on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at the Mildred Cooper Memorial Chapel, 504 Memorial Drive, Bella Vista, AR 72715.
