John "JD" David Kinzey

John “JD” David Kinzey, 82, of Colcord, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones.

JD was born on January 14, 1937 at home in Moseley, Oklahoma to Ben and Mamie Kinzey. On September 11, 1954, he married the loved of his life, Wyvonne. They shared a loving, memory-filled 65 years together before his passing. Growing up, he enjoyed riding horses and playing cards. He was a dairy farmer most of his life and in his spare time, he would watch western movies and read western books. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Colcord, OK.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wyvonne of the home; 2 sons, Don Kinzey and wife, Patty of Colcord, OK., and Mike Kinzey and wife, Becky of Edmond, OK; 1 daughter, Kathy Shelley and husband, David of Colcord, OK; 1 brother, Curtis Kinzey and wife, Helen of Siloam Springs, AR; 1 sister, Lillian Chapman of Kansas City, MO; 8 grandchildren, Jason Kinzey, Jake Shelley, Ethan Shelley, Nick Shelley, Ben Kinzey, Paige Shelley, Alex Kinzey, and Samantha Kinzey; 2 great-grandchildren, Memphis Shelley and Hudson Shelley; 2 brother-in-laws, Ardell Porter and Charles Chamberlain; and many other loved ones.

Visitation for JD will be held, Friday, September 20, 2019 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Siloam Springs, AR.

The funeral will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Ellis officiating.
