Jesus Barbosa Garcia

Jesus Barbosa-Garcia, age 77, of Fayetteville, AR, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville. Jesus was born on May 19, 1946, in Mexico City, Mexico the son of the late Jesus Barbosa Ayala and Porfiria Garcia.

Jesus worked for many years as a contractor in the construction industry. He was a member of the St. Stephens Catholic Church in Bentonville. Jesus enjoyed playing poker with anyone who had time for a game and spending time with family.

Jesus is survived by two sons, Jose Barbosa and Fernando Barbosa; daughters; Juana Barbosa, Raquel Barbosa, and Maria Barbosa; a brother Felipe Barbosa; a sister, Juana Barbosa; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.

Jesus was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may visit with the family at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale on Thursday, June 23, 2023 from 4 – 8 PM. There will be a prayer service led by Deacon Arturo Hernandez at 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM on Friday, June 24, 2023 at the St Raphael Catholic Church in Springdale. Burial will follow at the Friendship Cemetery.

Jesús trabajó durante muchos años como contratista en la industria de la construcción. Era miembro de la Iglesia Católica St. Stephens en Bentonville. A Jesús le gustaba jugar al póquer con cualquiera que tuviera tiempo para jugar y pasar tiempo con la familia.

A Jesús le sobreviven dos hijos, José Barbosa y Fernando Barbosa; hijas; Juana Barbosa, Raquel Barbosa y María Barbosa; un hermano Felipe Barbosa; una hermana, Juana Barbosa; 19 nietos; 15 bisnietos, 2 tataranietos.

Jesús fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres.

Los amigos pueden visitar a la familia en Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home en Springdale el jueves 23 de junio de 2023 de 4 a 8 p. m. Habrá un servicio de oración dirigido por el Diácono Arturo Hernández a las 7PM. Se llevará a cabo una misa de entierro cristiano a las 10 a. m. el viernes 24 de junio de 2023 en la iglesia católica St Raphael en Springdale. El entierro seguirá en el Cementerio de la Amistad.
