James Robert Campbell

James Robert Campbell, age 72, of Bentonville, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 at his residence.

James was born on April 9, 1950 in Texarkana, AR the son of the late Silas H Campbell and Edna E (Gould) Campbell. James proudly served in the US Navy. James spent many years working for the Springdale, AR Fire Department. He worked as a fireman, EMT and a hazardous chemical instructor. After retiring from the Fire Department in 1986, he worked for a security firm in the Rogers / Bentonville area.

On July 13, 1973 in San Diego, CA., James married the love of his life, Charlotte Olsen and she survives.

To this union were born 3 children who brought him much joy and gave him 6 grandchildren to spoil.

James attended Cross Church in Rogers, AR, he loved to fish and hunt. In his later years he did his hunting in his back yard with a camera.

James is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte; sons, Jeremy Campbell and wife Melissa, and Kerry Campbell and wife Melissa; a daughter, Stacy Bair and husband Scott; 6 grandchildren, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may visit with the family at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale from 2 to 4 PM on Friday, April 22, 2022. A Memorial Services will follow at 4 PM with Pastor Jamie Lantzsch officiating. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 100 from Rogers, AR and the US Navy.
