George “Wesley” Dill, 88, formerly of Decatur, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at his home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Wesley was born September 18, 1931 in Decatur, Arkansas to Albert “Tom” and Artie Mae Sexton-Dill. He served honorably for the United States Army. On May 4, 1956, he married Pearl Young and they shared a loving 63 years together. His passion was raising cattle, going to livestock auctions, eating good food, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl of the home; 2 sons, John Dill of Sallisaw, OK. and Larry Dill and wife, Edith of Fort Smith, AR; 3 daughters, Brenda Petryszak and husband, Ray of Gentry, AR., Karen Lollis and husband, Bill Williams of Keota, OK., and Jayden Dill of the home; 4 grandchildren, Shane Petryszak, Chelsea Petryszak, Pam Blackwell, and Shelly Polk; 3 great-grandchildren, Austin Polk, Sofia Petryszak, and Kalia Petryszak; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Terri Lynne Dill; and a great-granddaughter, Adalyn Petryszak.
A private burial of cremains will be held at a later date at Falling Springs Cemetery in Decatur, AR. The cremation arrangements were entrusted to Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, AR.
