Gean Leland Shirley

Gean Leland Shirley, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, in Springdale, Arkansas. 

Gean was born February 7, 1942, to parents Benjamin and Martha (Hanson) Shirley in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. He dedicated himself to serving our country in the United States Army as a medic, retiring after 20 years of service. He worked for Mitre Corporations as a limousine driver in Bedford Massachusetts, and later he worked for Walmart in Springdale, Arkansas. He will be dearly missed by his family. 

He is survived by two sons Gean Shirley II and Jae Min Shirley; two daughters, Lyssa Shirley and Denna Anderson; nine grandsons and three granddaughters; thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. One brother, Bob Shirley of Denver, Colorado and one sister, Diane Bradshaw of Salem, Oregon. 

He is preceded in death by parents Benjamin and Martha Shirley; a brother, Richard Shirley and 2 grandchildren Chelse and Gage. 

The Memorial Service will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Arkansas on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 2:00PM with Military Honors.
