Gary Bruce King son of William (Bill) and Alice Quick King was born August 12, 1945 in Watts, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 23, 2021 at the Veterans Center in Claremore, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 11 days old.
Serving with honors in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he was a truck driver who loved to fish, set trout lines and was a big joker wherever he was. He loved to tease and kid and could see the funny side of any situation.
He married Judy Helen Butler on May 14, 1971 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and they became the proud parents of 2 sons. Judy preceded Garry in death on July 21, 2016.
He is survived by his sons, Alan and his wife Sandy and Kevin. 5 grandchildren, Elissa, Bradley, Jarrod, David and William. 2 sisters, Mona Sue Janes and Arlene Tonsing. A sister-n-law, Reta Balmain and brother-n-law Ronald Butler. A number of great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judy, 3 brothers, Don, Curtis (Pete) and Jack. One sister Betty Dorsett.
Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Monday, July 26,2021 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
