Evelyn Lyons Nicewarner

Evelyn Dean Lyons Nicewarner, 88, of Siloam Springs, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020.

Evelyn was born on March 17, 1932 in Freedom, OK. She was a daughter of Amos Jasper Lyons and Vergie Ester Harvey Lyons. She was the widow of the late Warren B. Nicewarner, who preceded her in death in 1998. Evelyn was an LPN, having worked at the Fayetteville City Hospital, Washington General Hospital and private nursing. She was a farmer who loved animals especially horses and was of the Christian faith. Evelyn was a loving grandmother and was the glue that held the family together, always orchestrating family gatherings.

Evelyn was the last of ten children, having been preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Neva Jane Beaver.

She is survived by one son, David Nicewarner and companion Teresa Elder of Elkins; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and three and a half great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 A.M.  Outside potluck reception to follow services at the cemetery. Quests are requested to wear masks.
