Eugene Raymond Longcrier, 82, of Kansas, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 24th, 2017. Eugene was born on January 18th, 1935 at his parents, Ervin and Linnie Longcrier's ranch in Colcord, Oklahoma.
Gene retired after 35 years with Dow chemical company then later worked with his wife, Zella, at Flint Creek Real Estate. He was an Oklahoma Quarter horse breeder of the year, a Christian man who did missionary work for the Lord and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Siloam Springs. Gene's favorite hobby was golfing and developed many lasting friendships on the course.
He's survived by his wife of 64 years, Zella of the home; one son, Lloyd Longcrier and wife Vicky of Arlington, Texas; two daughters, Ninetta Stewart and husband, Jim of Broken Arrow, Ok, Eugenia VanDyck and husband Larry of Siloam Springs, AR; one brother Henry Longcrier of Lafayette, LA; two sister, Thelma Brown of Kansas, OK, Hester Kater of Santa Fe, TX; seven Grandchildren; ten Great Grandchildren; and many friends.
Gene is preceded in death by his father, Ervin Herbert Longcrier and mother, Linnie Mae(Martin)Longcrier.
The memorial service will be held at the Kansas High School gymnasium of Kansas, OK, on Tuesday May 30th, 2017 at 1:00 pm.
