Eddie Ames

Edward Lee Ames, 62, of Westville, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 at his home.

Eddie was born November 24, 1959 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Clifford Ames and Lydia Bayless-Ames. On May 30, 1980, he married the love of his life, Beverly Ames in Siloam Springs. They shared many fun, loving memories for 42 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, cruising around in his cars, and tending to his horses. He loved having a good time.  Most of all, Eddie cherished time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Kay of the home; 2 sons, Jeremy Ames of Westville, OK and Christopher Ames of Joplin, MO; 1 daughter, Christina Bree of Jane, MO; 1 brother, Clifford Ames and wife, Sandy of West Siloam Springs, OK; 4 sisters, Sandra Hilton of West Siloam Springs, OK., Phyllis Golden of Westville, OK., Brenda Lewis of West Siloam Springs, OK., and Glenda Wray and husband, Stephen of Norman, OK;5 grandchildren, Austin Bree, Shayla Bree, Skylar Bree, Mariah Ames, and Aaron Ames; 2 great-grandchildren; and many other loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Ronnie Ames and Darrell Ames.

The visitation for Eddie will be held 5:00pm-8:00pm, Monday, October 3, 2022 at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Bell Cemetery of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating.
