Delmar Collins, 89, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas passed away at his home on Monday, October 30, 2023.
Delmar was born on July 4, 1934, in the Norwood Community, Arkansas. He was a son of Earl Collins and Elizabeth Holland Collins. He graduated from Siloam Springs High School in the Class of 1951. Upon graduation he moved to California where he worked in construction. He married Donna Schwab on September 4, 1955, in Pasadena, California. Delmar and Donna returned to the Wedington Community in 1965, where they raised their family and Delmar worked as a Dairy and Poultry Farmer, until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs, was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge in Cincinnati, Arkansas and Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star of Lincoln, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife Donna Collins of the home; four sons, Gene Collins (Lydia) of Siloam Springs, Brodey Collins (Monie) of Siloam Springs, Billy Collins (Davina) of Rogers, Arkansas, and John Collins (Carrie) of Siloam Springs; one daughter, Shawna Zodrow (Tony) of Mobile, Alabama; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Pastor Jeremy DeGroot will officiate the service, with burial being conducted at the Norwood Cemetery.
