Barbara Jean Rose, 69, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.
Barbara was born November 12, 1951 in Turlock, California to Robert Earl Hunt, Sr., and Leota Jewell McCullough-Hunt. Throughout her life, everyone who knew her lovingly called her “Barbie.” She was the secretary at Hughson High School for 41 years. She was beloved by her students and coworkers, and was known as a second mother and counselor to many. After her retirement, she enjoyed her retiree meet-ups playing card games or going to breakfast, browsing around Costco, and going antique shopping with her loved ones. She was always on the move, ready for any adventure that came her way - from road trips around the United States, vacations to Hawaii with her best friend, and weekend getaways to the hills. Of all her fun activities, her most cherished would be her times with her kids and grandkids, who were the joys of her life.
She is survived by her 1 daughter, Rebecca Burgess and husband, David of Siloam Springs, AR; 2 sons, Steven Crawford and wife, Julie of Keyes, CA, and Wes Crawford and wife, Misty of Gentry, AR; 1 brother, Don Hunt of Lockeford, CA; 12 grandchildren, Haylee, Jake, Hannah, and Leah Burgess; Mac Crawford; Abby, Kylee, Kimber, Hayden, Avery, Dakota, and Peyton Crawford; her best friend since the age of 12, Eloise Barber of Salida, CA; and many other loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Floyd “Pat” Patrick, Robert Hunt, Jr., and sister Wanda Hunt Auchard.
The memorial service will be held at a later date in California by her family.
