Barbara Corter, 63, of Bethel Heights, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends.
Barbara was born on June 6, 1954, in Atoka, Oklahoma, a daughter to Hollis Franklin Adams and Jimmie Lee (Keeler) Adams. She married Jimmy “Jim” Corter on January 7, 1972 in Springdale, Arkansas. She retired as an office manager with State Farm and was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Bethel Heights. Barbara enjoyed arts and crafts and was very talented at creating silk flower arrangements. Her joy was spending time with her family and grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jerry Adams and one sister, Mary Hood.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jim Corter of the home; two children, Amy Warren and husband Joe, Dennis Corter and wife Chanda all of Rogers, Arkansas; two grandsons, Zack Warren and Derek Warren both of Rogers, Arkansas; two grand dogs, Bo and Bentley; two sisters, Virginia Finch and husband Paul, Sharon Wilp all of Atoka, Oklahoma: one sister in-law, Sue Adams of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Bethel Heights from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Funeral will begin that day at 12:00pm with Pastor Bobby Main to officiate the service. Committal to follow at the Zion Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas.
