Anthony G Wind III

Anthony G. Wind III, 67, of Gentry, Arkansas passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at the Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville.

Anthony was born on July 30, 1956, in Buffalo, New York. He was the son of Anthony G. Wind Jr. and Ruth Virginia Brown Wind. He married Theresa Quackenbush on October 7, 1978. Anthony served Honorably in the United States Air Force, of which he was very proud. After the service he earned several degrees including his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. He worked for the Kodak Company as a Computer Engineer and then went to work for Wal-Mart as a Computer Engineer before retiring. While working he was instrumental in filing for 20 U.S. patents through the years. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid hunter, loved trains and model trains, woodworking, riding his motorcycle, playing board games and RV camping.  Above all Anthony was a family man and his family was most important to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gregory Wind.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Wind of the home; three daughters, Marianne Wind of Carthage, Missouri, Patricia Wind of Rhinebeck, New York, and Pamela Grant and husband Devin of Centerton, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Madison Falk; a brother, Larry Wind of Siloam Springs; five sisters, Marie Wilbanks of Gentry, Louise Vega of Siloam Springs, Kateri Killman of Siloam Springs, Cecelia Wind of Gentry, and Judith Ann Wind-Walker of Ramona, California.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at the family’s house on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
